Overview

Escape winter and join Jeff Phenix for his popular transformative yoga retreat in South Goa on beautiful Polem beach, South Goa.  Enjoy a week of sun, sea, making new friends, eating delicious, healthy food, massage and general fun and relaxation.  Practicing yoga in Goa will make you feel amazing so you will return home feeling recharged, energized and ready to take on life.

The Yoga

The long morning practice will be a dynamic, creative, playful and explorative ‘deep slow flow’ asana practice and will include meditation and pranayama.  By emphasizing the breath, mindfulness & skillful action and building up through a range of appropriate options – students, from the less experienced to the more advanced, will discover how to work peacefully at the level appropriate to them.

The afternoon session will be a mellower, soothing and nurturing practice, delving into areas such as yin yoga, restoratives, pranayama, chakras, yoga nidra and meditation.  This will totally bliss you out! We finish in time to watch the sun go down and maybe even indulge a sunset swim.

Jeff has lots of experience teaching students of all levels. His depth of understanding, playful approach, ability to challenge students to safely explore their edge and his love of pranayama and meditation will give you the perfect opportunity to deepen your practice both physically and internally.

The food at Bamboo is a highlight of the week.! Testimonials

“Thank you for a wonderful week at Bamboo. I  thought i might not be able to keep up, of course at times I didn’t, but you make it so acceptable to take the easier options, that it gave me an opportunity to really listen to my body and not feel I had to push it.  Apart from being a lovely person you are a gifted teacher and i am in awe!”  Eugenie

“The Bamboo yoga retreat in Goa is really wonderful. It’s very simple and comfortable.  I’ve been to India many times and this place is really the best beach experience. The staff keep everything meticulously clean and are so friendly – such a relaxed atmosphere. And last but not by any means least the food is exceptional”.  Lucy

  • "Deciding to go to India for the first time, on my own to a retreat where I didn't know anyone else turned out to be one of the best decisions I ever made! My week in Goa with you (at Bamboo) really was one of the best experiences of my life. I escaped my routine, met and talked to like-minded yogis who were all so welcoming and open and really went deep into my own practice. Not only did it reaffirm my love for yoga but reminded me how important it is to take time out for myself. Jeff you inspired me so much with your warmth as well as your humor and your knowledge, range of inspirational readings and creating beautiful practices is something I will really treasure."
