Our food, like every part of our South Goa yoga retreat centre, is all about flexibility and balance. It is wholesome and nutritious, cooked with love and without compromising on flavour. At Bamboo Yoga Retreat our restaurant focuses on healthy locally sourced food, organic wherever possible and international cooking by our team of highly trained passionate chefs.
For dinner our menu changes daily, and includes delicious Indian and Asian vegetarian dishes and salads. Fresh sustainable fish and seafood is also possible to order on the day.
All of it is lovingly prepared to help your body’s restoration and growth, but most of all to taste great! If you have special dietary requirements, or just don’t like spicy food – please let us know.
Special meals around a communal table will be held every week for Yoga holidays, and we also put tables on Polem beach under the stars for special occasions.
To start your day we prepare a freshly squeezed juice of the day, which could be watermelon and ginger, or pineapple lemon and mint, to cleanse your body and give you an energy boost for your sun salutations. There is also a big fresh tropical fruit salad every morning.
A big brunch is served after the morning yoga session, homemade yoghurt, local Goa breads, eggs and muesli, with some Indian-inspired vegetable dishes and salads for those who’ve built up an appetite with their exertions. And then time to relax and watch the waves from our beachside lounge with a herbal tea or Indian chai, along with daily specials based around seasonal produce from the local market. We serve a selection of teas and locally baked cookies in the afternoon before your Yoga class to give you an energy boost.
A delicious vegetarian buffet dinner is provided in the evening, and you can also pre-order seafood and chicken to accompany this if you wish.
Yoga Retreats in Goa are full-board so that the menu can work with your program, whether supporting weight loss, detoxing the body or focusing on raw food. We offer refillable mineral water to eliminate plastic bottle waste, and use filtered water in our kitchen.
With our team that is made up of Nepalese chefs and Heidi, who is a nutritional advisor, you will not be disappointed. The food is delicious; we are famous for our food!
